| Summary | 0002876: substack (and many other) web pages rendered too far right and will not scroll | ||||||||
| Description | All substack pages and many others render too far to the right so that text and graphics are partially out of view. Adjusting the window width does not help, and the horizontal scroll bar is always maxed out so you can't scroll the page into view. | ||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Visit the problem URL or any other substack user's page. | ||||||||
| Additional Information | This has been a problem for a very long time on all NetSurf versions. I'm currently using #6746. It is the same on all my platforms (VRPC, Pinebook, various RPis). | ||||||||

Just looked at this in CI#7292 and the problem appears to be fixed. Can we close the case? |

I can't verify this because all recent versions fail to resolve external addresses. I don't know how to fix it. I just vaguely remember some discussion about the issue but didn't have time to investigate. I'll try to fix this and try some substack URLs. |

I agree that the reported problem appears to be fixed. A few sites render with some images extending a long way to the right but widening the NetSurf window allows the objects to be seen. It appears the failure to resolve URLs is only on VRPC, it's ok on RISCOS 5. |

Closed because we agree it appears to be resolved. |
