Summary 0000420: unable to run Netsurf for Atari

Another workaround for thing desktop:

Open the u: drive, and navigate to your netsurf installation, run the application from there - works fine.

Also dropping nsv4e.app to the desktop from there results in an desktop icon which can be double clicked and which runs fine.

Won't fix that, as it doesn't look like a critical bug.

Correction: the environment variable is called NETSURFRES

Please also note that it is possible to set the resource folder for netsurf by exporting the environment variable NETSURF_RES_PATH.

Set it to an value like:

"/my/path/to/netsurf/res"

There is no such problem with TeraDesk. It is assumed that Thing passes a different path seperator within the "current working directory" to the application.

As a workaround, start netsurf from the shell until I fixed the issue.
