Summary | 0001969: Support for eSpeak program (Jonathan Duddington GNU) | ||
---|---|---|---|
Revision | 2006-10-19 23:36 by John Williams | ||
Description | eSpeak already provides speech support for other programs. The RISC OS interface is well defined. It is used by Pluto and StrongED. See http://espeak.sourceforge.net/ As well as providing general access speech support to NS, it would also provide a useful checking tool for web pages, auditory checking providing additional checks of duplication, typos, grammar which existing checkers cannot detect. NS already has the ability to select and save text: It would not be a great step to provide this text to the speech synthesiser module Speak. John Williams johnrw@ukgateway.net |
