NS doesn't like some gifs (a.o. 'n_700.gif' one of the images which are drawn around the map). I made a minimal testcase and I have uploaded it to my website: <http://www.archimedes.be/Test/NS/crashtest20061210.html>

It's a very small html file. NS displays it without any problems if the scale view = 100%. But if the scale view > 100%, then NS crashes.

If the zoom bar and the scale menu are not displayed then NS doesn't crash when the scale view > 100%. This happens e.g. if the street name is not spelled correctly. Multimap then opens a map where you can choose between 1 or more possibilities. NS doesn't crash when the scale view is changed, but as soon as you choose one of the possible locations, then NS tries to display (a.o.) the zoom bar and the scale menu (above the map) and it crashes.

(I tried this with country=Belgium, Street=Rootenaard, Town=Lint)
