Summary 0001916: Forcing NS to use a certain charset
Revision 2006-02-25 04:00 by sclaes
Description When the title of a webpage contains a top bit char, NS assumes the page is iso-8859-1 encoded (and ignores the charset specification of the webpage).

And sometimes the charset is missing (or even wrong).
e.g. <http://www.diyanet.gov.tr/DIYANET/2002cocuk/ocak/tilki.htm>
Not selecting the right charset makes it dificult to read a webpage. That's why I would like to be able to force NS to choose a certain charset.

It is possible in Firefox (View -> Character Encoding). Are there any plans to add this to NS?
