Summary | 0000420: unable to run Netsurf for Atari
Description | Hello, I downloaded the latest test build m5475-atari-mint-gcc-jsoff-898 for Atari and it gives me the following error: Unable to open GEM Resource file! It does this right after running the program nsv4e.app. I am using the FireBee computer with the official release of mint with Thing 1.29 desktop. An older test build works for me which is m5475-atari-mint-gcc-jsoff-800. I tried a few other builds after 800 and same error message comes up.
Additional Information | zcorn added a note on Tue Feb 26 22:45:28 2013 Another workaround for thing desktop: Open the u: drive, and navigate to your netsurf installation, run the application from there - works fine. Also dropping nsv4e.app to the desktop from there results in an desktop icon which can be double clicked and which runs fine. Won't fix that, as it doesn't look like a critical bug. zcorn added a note on Tue Feb 26 22:04:07 2013 Correction: the environment variable is called NETSURFRES zcorn added a note on Tue Feb 26 21:49:56 2013 Please also note that it is possible to set the resource folder for netsurf by exporting the environment variable NETSURF_RES_PATH. Set it to an value like: "/my/path/to/netsurf/res" zcorn added a note on Tue Feb 26 21:34:01 2013 There is no such problem with TeraDesk. It is assumed that Thing passes a different path seperator within the "current working directory" to the application. As a workaround, start netsurf from the shell until I fixed the issue. shawn2001 added a note on Sun Feb 17 03:00:25 2013 Edit: Appears to show up beginning in test build 850 Imported from sourceforge bug http://sourceforge.net/support/tracker.php?aid=3605021 on Tue Dec 10 17:34:12 2013
