Summary0002689: Unwanted vertical scroll bars on content
DescriptionCertain pages on Dreamwidth have acquired unnecessary vertical scrollbars on the individual blog entries. They don't actually do anything because the work area of the pane(?) to which they are being applied is already maximised, but they obscure the underlying text since they are drawn over the top of it.
Resizing the browser window to reduce the horizontal width causes the unwanted scrollbars to disappear. Dragging it wider again brings them back.
Steps To ReproduceVisit one of the various affected blog pages, e.g.
 https://stoutfellow.dreamwidth.org/
https://asianamlitfans.dreamwidth.org/18750.html
https://solarbird.dreamwidth.org/

Try resizing the browser window.
Additional InformationIt doesn't always apply to ALL entries of an affected page. For example, on
 https://asianamlitfans.dreamwidth.org/?skip=20
I only see scrollbars on the two entries for July 8th and March 28th and the other 18 are fine.

The common factor seem to be that all affected blogs are labelled as using the "Neutral Good for Practicality" CSS style, but by no means all blogs on Dreamwidth using this style show the same behaviour, e.g.
https://landingtree.dreamwidth.org/ which appears fine.

May be something to do with changes to the settings of the "overflow-x" property during the recent Dreamwidth site update?

If you refresh/reload the page after successfully resizing it to hide the scrollbar, the unwanted scrollbar reappears.
