DescriptionWhen accessing http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum/viewtopic.php?topic_id=6549&forum=27 I get a complete system lockup. I've managed to reproduce this fairly consistently on the Amiga version.
Additional InformationThe page displays but the animated GIF continues to load. I've seen it get to 9.27/9.31MB before the freeze occurs.

I think this is related to the sheer size of that gif. It is 9.3 megabytes and results in an nsgtk that uses 47 megabytes of memory to display it. However I see no problems or crashes in playback.

I think your platform may have issues with the animation if memory is getting tight?

I thought so too. I've just tried to reproduce it and I can get the animation to display, but after a few seconds everything freezes up again. So it is likely to be related to the playing of the anim. Maybe not freeing frames as it plays?
