Summary | 0002020: Downloading from URL/URI link |
---|
Description | When opening a URL or URI file that contains a link to a file type that would initiate a save dialogue (e.g. a PDF file) please suppress opening a new, blank window. I realise that the window can just be closed, but ideally the link should be treated as it would be if it were on an html page. |

Agreed. Opening a new window is especially an annoyance when the WM has been set to open the browser full maximized without title bars (to save on screen real estate). The new window becomes impossible to close (History windows as well) in a maximized, title bar-less state. A keyboard toggle to display/undisplay download progress and the history/cookie lists would be a viable resolution.
