A MAN is being treated for ‘potentially life threatening’ burns by air ambulance crews following a van fire in a carpark off Faraday Road, Newbury.
The man has been flown to Salisbury District Hospital with severe burns, confirmed South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) spokeswoman Catherine Morrow.
It has not yet been confirmed how the fire started.
The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance landed at the Newbury Football Club at around 3.10pm.
The incident occurred in a carpark on Kelvin Road, in the London Road Industrial Estate.
Faraday Road had been closed to allow the air ambulance to land and while fire crews from Dee Road fire station made the area safe.
