You've provided almost no details, so I've tried a few guesses. First is that it's the amazon.co.uk site. What screen resolution do you use, and how wide is the NS window? Is the username writable icon wide enough to show more than 5 characters, and you're seeing white space in the rest of the icon? Have you updated !Boot and !System in the proper way from the NS archive? (I don't know whether it will make any difference.)

I don't have CI #3308, and it's no longer available from the NS site, but I've tried it with 3307 and 3311 (the nearest I can get) on a Pi2 with RO 5.23 from last April, and I cannot reproduce the symptoms you describe. The username icon is plenty wide enough for my login (21 characters) and the complete login is displayed, with white space filling the rest of the icon.

From: Bryn Evans

It would seem that this problem has been extinguished!

Since the release of Version 3.4 in February, I can no longer produce the problem on any machine (RiscPC, Pi-1B nor PiZero)

Currently development version 3433 is in use on both Pis and Release 3.4 on the RiscPC - Without the problem recurring.

Thank you for the attention, It would seem that the problem was cleared during the continued developments.

In future I will wait for at least one more release before
raising any new issues,

Thanks again for all your hard work, it IS appreciated. - Bryn Evans
