Summary0002351: Cannot Launch Netsurf
Descriptionhi,

i'm able to launch netsurf from a super-user CLI using this command:

./nsgtk

if current directory is /root/dev-netsurf/workspace/netsurf

However, from a different directory, i get this error:

# /root/dev-netsurf/workspace/netsurf/nsgtk
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

and i get permission denied if attempting to run from a non-su command-line.
Steps To Reproducecompile netsurf using these instructions:

http://source.netsurf-browser.org/netsurf.git/plain/Docs/QUICK-START
Additional Informationbtw, this version of netsurf seems much slower loading web pages than previous release.

thx

unfortunately this was placed in the wrong project category and missed for some time.

It is unwise to run netsurf as a superuser and in this case it was likely a temporary file got created that normal users could not access (hence permission denied errors). If you would like to try again there are updated quick start instructions and the gtk browser has improved greatly in the last couple of years.

I will leave this issue open for a while if you need additional assistance
